SSRF via unvalidated basePdf URL fetch
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Aug 31, 2026
SSRF in getB64BasePdf in pdfme @pdfme/common before 5.5.10 allows remote attackers to reach internal endpoints via crafted templates. The helper passes any non-data-URI basePdf string directly to fetch() when window is defined, without validating the scheme, host, or address range. Exploitation requires an integrating application to accept attacker-controlled templates; SSR deployments can expose response data, while browsers generally permit only blind requests.
