Local privilege escalation via arbitrary registry writes
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026
Local privilege escalation in ieungSoft Ultra RAMDisk Pro 1.82 allows local users to write protected registry values through URDSCSI.sys. IOCTL 0x222B30 command 0x08 passes caller-selected paths, names, types, and data to kernel registry-write routines without authorization or path restrictions. The demonstrated consequence is a registry ACL bypass; escalation requires selecting a security-sensitive key and activating a later privileged execution path.
