Browser script execution via settings-screen input
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Cross-site scripting in CONTEC CONPROSYS nano firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary scripts in a logged-in user's browser. The settings screen fails to neutralize attacker-controlled input before browser rendering; CONTEC has not disclosed the affected parameter or handler. Exploitation requires low-privileged settings access and user interaction, and the resulting script can redirect the logged-in user to an unauthorized site.
