Authenticated code execution via web-service buffer overflow
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Buffer overflow in CONTEC EC1000-series firmware before 1.02 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary programs. The web service mishandles a specially crafted request and overflows a buffer, but CONTEC has not disclosed the affected endpoint, field, or copy operation. A low-privilege account and network access to the web service are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code on the device.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
