CVE-2026-82738Hinoki check available

Persistent record-read denial via inconsistent UUID validation

Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 1, 2026

Improper input validation in Ash Framework Ash 3.6.3 through 3.32.1 allows attackers to persistently deny reads of UUIDv7 records. Ash.Type.UUIDv7.cast_input/2 stores any well-formed UUID as a binary, but cast_stored/2 rejects stored non-v7 binaries and returns an error. Exploitation requires an application path that lets attackers set the affected attribute; poisoned records remain unreadable on later access.
