Administrative command execution via shell-interpolated CGI parameters
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
OS command injection in system_mgr.cgi in D-Link DNS-320 2.06B01 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The cgi_set_host, cgi_set_ntp, cgi_fan_control, and cgi_merge_user handlers interpolate attacker-controlled parameters into shell command strings without neutralizing metacharacters. Administrative web-management access is required, and successful injection can alter the appliance and its stored data.
