Unauthenticated manufacturing service activation via hidden route
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Aug 31, 2026
Missing authentication in the Web UI of Tenda AC1206 15.03.06.23 allows remote attackers to start a manufacturing service via /goform/ate. R7WebsSecurityHandler exempts the hidden route from normal cookie and password checks, and TendaAte calls InitMfgTask, which binds the ATE command service to UDP port 7329 on all interfaces. The router must retain its factory-default empty administrator password; access to the management interface then exposes commands that reboot or reset the device and alter NVRAM, wireless, and network settings.
