Authenticated command execution via unescaped iSCSI parameters
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Aug 31, 2026
OS command injection in D-Link DNS-340L and DNS-345 firmware 20260717 allows remote authenticated users to execute shell commands. The iscsi_mgr.cgi handler concatenates alias, username, password, and image-path POST values into shell strings passed to iscsictl without neutralizing metacharacters. Authenticated iSCSI management access is required; successful exploitation can access stored data, alter target configuration, or interrupt storage services.
