Arbitrary file write via unsanitized upload filename
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Aug 31, 2026
Path traversal in AshAdmin 0.13.7 through 1.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to write files via a crafted upload filename. AshAdmin.Components.Resource.Form.consume_file_uploads/1 joins the browser-supplied entry.client_name to a temporary directory without removing path components, then copies the uploaded bytes to that path. Access to an AshAdmin form exposing a file-upload field is required, and writes are limited to paths writable by the BEAM process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
