Unauthenticated password guessing via unthrottled GET requests
Published Aug 30, 2026 · Updated Aug 30, 2026
Improper authentication-attempt restriction in WWBN AVideo allows remote attackers to submit unlimited credential guesses over GET. The Live plugin's preauthorize.json.php reads credentials from GET parameters and calls processPreauthorization without the rate limit used by the normal login endpoint. No account is needed to reach it; valid credentials additionally trigger uncapped two-factor emails, while response bodies do not reveal whether a guess succeeded.
