Cross-site scripting in Readest before 0.11.16 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code after a user opens a crafted EPUB file. The EPUB sanitizer treats an iframe's srcdoc value as opaque, allowing embedded script to survive filtering and execute when the iframe renders. Opening attacker-controlled EPUB content is required; same-origin script access exposes the Tauri IPC commands permitted to the application.
