CVE-2026-8260Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated remote code execution via AdminPassword decoding

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DCS-935L 1.10.01 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code via HNAP. SetDeviceSettings passes the hex-encoded AdminPassword value through AESDecrypt to a decoder that writes into a fixed-size stack buffer without checking the decoded length. Valid web administrator credentials and a crafted XML request are required; successful return-address overwrite runs MIPS code with root privileges on the camera.
