CVE-2026-82599Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Authenticated file deletion via unvalidated avatar path

Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Aug 31, 2026

Path traversal in SeaCMS 13.0 through 13.6 allows remote authenticated users to delete server files through the avatar upload endpoint. During member.php?action=chgpwdsubmit, member.php passes the client-controlled oldpic path directly to unlink() without canonicalizing it or confining it to uploads/user/. Exploitation requires low-privileged member access, a valid avatar upload, avatar uploads enabled through $cfg_upic == '1', and delete permission for the web process.
