Unauthorized session access via residual authentication state
Published Sep 24, 2026 · Updated Sep 24, 2026
Insufficient session expiration in Botslab G980H Dash Cam firmware allows remote attackers to access another client's session over Wi-Fi. When a new client connection displaces an existing one, the firmware leaves the earlier connection's authentication state active until a separate expiration mechanism invalidates it. Exploitation requires adjacent Wi-Fi access and specific connection timing, after which the attacker obtains functionality associated with the displaced client's session.
