CVE-2026-82564

Unauthorized record update or deletion via identity filters

Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Aug 31, 2026

Authorization bypass in Ash Framework Ash AI 0.6.0 through 0.8.2 allows attackers to update or delete records through identity-configured tools. AshAi.Tool.Execution identity_filter/3 passes raw identity values to Ash.Query.do_filter/2, which interprets nested operator maps as predicates instead of literals. A caller must be able to invoke an affected update or destroy tool; a crafted or omitted identity value can retarget the operation to an unidentified record.
