Unauthenticated integrity bypass via IA0 acceptance
Published Aug 30, 2026 · Updated Aug 30, 2026
Improper integrity validation in Magma 1.9.0 allows remote attackers to bypass 5G NAS message integrity during registration. The AMF accepts a UE advertising only IA0 and completes SecurityModeComplete with a zero MAC instead of rejecting the unsupported integrity choice. A Docker-based Access Gateway with 5G support and default configuration is exposed, permitting forged or replayed NAS messages to proceed without integrity protection.
