Arbitrary file access via unchecked normalized paths
Published Aug 29, 2026 · Updated Aug 29, 2026
Path traversal in Cloud Commander before 19.20.2 allows remote attackers to read or alter files outside a configured root. The REST move, copy, rename, pack, and extract handlers normalize user paths without enforcing containment, while the markdown relative-path branch reads the joined path directly. Exploitation is unauthenticated when optional authorization is disabled, and the server process's filesystem permissions bound which files are exposed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
