CVE-2026-8244Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated profile disclosure via version-matched empty login

Published May 10, 2026 · Updated May 10, 2026

Improper authentication in the caniasERP 8.03 Login RMI interface allows remote attackers to disclose arbitrary user profiles. A login request with empty credentials returns USERWRONGPASSWORD while still embedding a nondeterministically selected user's profile and a fresh session ID. The request must supply the exact server version in clientVersion; an unauthenticated server-information call exposes that value and enables disclosure of identity, permissions, database, and server-path details.
