Credential disclosure via unredacted daemon configuration
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
Information disclosure in Apache Storm Nimbus and UI 3.0.0 allows remote attackers to read daemon credentials through configuration APIs. getNimbusConf returns the complete daemon configuration without redaction, while the UI configuration endpoint lacks AuthNimbusOp and proxies the request as the UI daemon. Nimbus requires user-level authorization, but any requester passing ui.filter can obtain configured ZooKeeper authentication data and TLS store passwords.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
