Account takeover via spoofable permission-update recipient
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Improper authorization in Klever klever-go 1.7.19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to take over configured accounts. KleverUpdateAccountPermission checks attacker-controlled RecipientAddr instead of authenticated CallerAddr, then replaces the target's permissions with attacker-supplied Owner permissions. Exploitation requires a contract call and a target with stored permissions; the native transaction path and accounts without stored permissions are unaffected.
