Server-file disclosure via OPML external entities
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
XML external entity injection in Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to read server files through crafted OPML bookmark imports. The bookmark importer's JDOM SAXBuilder resolves external entities from attacker-supplied OPML instead of rejecting document type declarations and external references. Exploitation requires weblog administrator access; the parser can read files accessible to the Roller process and contact internal network addresses without non-default configuration.
