Reflected script execution via unescaped directory parameters
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
Reflected cross-site scripting in Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows remote attackers to run script in visitors' browsers via crafted directory links. The bundled frontpage theme's blog-directory templates place request-supplied letter and weblog parameters into rendered HTML without adequate validation or escaping. Exposure requires the frontpage theme and a visitor who follows a crafted link; the script runs in that visitor's browser context.
