Account impersonation via request-supplied OAuth identity
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows remote attackers to bind OAuth request tokens to arbitrary accounts via unsigned requests. The OAuth authorization servlet reads the authorizing user from a submitted userId or xoauth_requestor_id parameter rather than the authenticated session. Exploitation requires a configured site-wide OAuth 1.0a consumer and knowledge of one of its outstanding request tokens; the bound account can be an administrator.
