Administrative switch access via CLI shell injection
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
OS command injection in Brocade SANnav before 3.0.1a allows remote authenticated users to run unauthorized shell commands on managed switches. The SANnav CLI scripting component accepts metacharacter-bearing input without neutralizing shell syntax before restricted commands are executed. Command-execution permission is required, after which the user can bypass command allowlists and obtain full administrative access to target fabric switches.
