CVE-2026-82358

Read-only object overwrite via SDO session confusion

Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026

Write-protection bypass in RT-Labs AB C-Open before 1.1.1 allows attackers on a CAN bus to overwrite read-only Object Dictionary entries. The SDO server retains a pointer set during an upload and processes download-segment frames without checking that a download session is active, writing through that pointer. Exploitation requires access to the CAN bus; the demonstrated consequence is alteration of protected object values, not arbitrary code execution.
