Cross-weblog resource tampering via unscoped ID lookups
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
Authorization bypass in Apache Roller 6.1.5 allows remote authenticated users to read, modify, or delete another weblog's resources. Authoring actions resolve request-supplied resource IDs without checking that the resources belong to the action's weblog. Authoring rights on one weblog suffice; a weblog administrator can also overwrite another weblog's Velocity template, which is evaluated when that weblog renders.
