CVE-2026-82343Hinoki check available

Application crash and memory disclosure via channel-count validation

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

Out-of-bounds access in GIMP's file-psd plugin on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, and 9 allows local users to crash GIMP via a crafted PSD. The PSD loader accepts an invalid channel-count value and uses it for bounds calculations, causing heap reads and stack accesses outside allocated buffers. A user must open or otherwise process the file; successful exploitation interrupts the application and can expose limited process-memory contents.
