CVE-2026-82281Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-user conversation disclosure via missing ownership checks

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

Authorization bypass in Cinnamon AI Kotaemon 0.12.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read or alter other users' conversations. The select_conv query fetches messages by an arbitrary conversation identifier without rejecting nonowners, while delete_conv, rename_conv, and on_set_public_conversation modify records without verifying ownership. Unauthenticated reading requires a valid 128-bit conversation identifier; deletion or renaming requires a regular authenticated account.
