Unauthenticated disclosure and logging suppression via Actuator
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Missing authentication in OpenZipkin Zipkin 3.6.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose configuration and suppress logging. zipkin-server-shared.yml enables environment, beans, thread-dump, configuration-properties, and loggers Actuator endpoints with wildcard web exposure on port 9411 but defines no Spring Security or Armeria authentication gate. Network access to the tracing API is sufficient; storage credentials outside Spring's sanitization patterns are exposed, and the root logger can be set to OFF.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
