Server hang via malformed remote-form deserialization
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
CPU exhaustion in SvelteKit 2.49.0 through 2.52.1 allows remote attackers to hang servers through malformed remote-form data. The experimental remote-form deserializer consumes excessive processor time while processing malformed input; the upstream advisory does not disclose the triggering encoding or function. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient only when an application enables experimental remote functions and exposes a form remote function.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
