Server crash via remote form deserialization
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Memory exhaustion in SvelteKit 2.49.0 through 2.52.1 allows remote attackers to crash the server via malformed remote form data. The remote form deserializer allocates excessive memory while decoding attacker-controlled form data; the upstream advisory does not identify the exact field or allocation site. Exposure requires both experimental.remoteFunctions and a reachable form remote function, and successful exploitation terminates the server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
