CVE-2026-82238Network attack vector

Disk exhaustion via concurrent TUS PATCH requests

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

Race condition in File Browser 2.24.0 and later allows remote authenticated users to exceed declared TUS upload lengths. The TUS PATCH handler validates concurrent requests against the same cached offset, then writes overlapping request bodies before the shared offset is updated. Ordinary upload permission is required; simultaneous requests can create oversized files and trigger completion hooks for uploads larger than the accepted length.
