Service interruption via blocking named-pipe opens
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Resource exhaustion in File Browser 2.63.23 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt service through crafted downloads. The archive walker and public download handler open FIFOs without checking their file type, leaving open(2) blocked and pinning a goroutine and connection. Exploitation requires a named pipe already in the served tree plus download access or a public share link; repeated requests exhaust service resources.
