Unauthenticated command execution via deferred object restoration

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

PHP object injection in StellarWP GiveWP 4.16.7.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute commands through the donation flow. Utils::safeUnserialize() preserves attacker-supplied objects as __PHP_Incomplete_Class placeholders; session storage restores their original classes for an unguarded unserialize, and a bundled TCPDF/TestData gadget invokes an attacker-controlled callable. No account is needed because the registration action ignores WordPress registration settings; exploitation needs a published donation form and active gateway, with narrower legacy-form conditions in 4.16.6 through 4.16.7.1.
