Order disclosure via forgeable access tokens
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Authentication bypass in affected J2Store releases allows attackers with the Joomla secret to read any order and its digital downloads. Guest-order token validation accepts a predictable token computed from the site-wide Joomla secret and does not bind access to a placed order. The attack requires prior disclosure of the Joomla secret; tokens remain usable indefinitely, exposing order details and purchased files.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
