Editor-level stored XSS via unescaped term fields
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP before 1.67 lets remote authenticated users inject scripts into taxonomy term fields. The plugin saves several editor-controlled fields without a capability check and outputs their values without escaping on a privileged screen. Exploitation requires a WordPress multisite installation, an editor-level account without unfiltered_html, and a higher-privileged user viewing that screen; the script runs in that viewer's browser.
