CVE-2026-82111Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file disclosure via unvalidated image path

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

Path traversal in GetNote MCP 1.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disclose arbitrary local files through upload_image. The upload_image handler passes the caller-controlled image_path directly to fs.readFileSync, then uploads the bytes to GetNote object storage and returns the resulting URL. Reachability requires permission to invoke the MCP tool and configured GetNote credentials; disclosure is limited to files readable by the server process.
