Script execution via unsanitized synced article content
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Cross-site scripting in wallabag Android App 2.6.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script through synced article content. The article reader loads HTML returned by /api/entries into an Android WebView without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires attacker-controlled markup to enter a synced entry and user interaction to open it; the documented consequence is script execution in the app WebView.
