Authenticated code execution via report archive inclusion
Published May 9, 2026 · Updated May 9, 2026
Local file inclusion in Gibbon before 30.0.01 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP through a crafted report archive. The Page::isAddressValid check accepts an include address containing .php outside blocked path fragments, while the report importer returns a temporary ZIP path outside uploads for index.php to include. Teacher-level access is required to relocate the archive and upload a ZIP/PHP polyglot, after which inclusion runs attacker-controlled code with the web server's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
