Administrative API access via unrestricted internal key
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Authentication bypass in UTMStack before 11.2.16 allows remote attackers with its internal key to access administrative APIs. InternalApiKeyFilter accepts a matching Utm-Internal-Key header on any endpoint instead of restricting that credential to internal routes. Attackers must first obtain the INTERNAL_KEY value; possession permits account creation, data access, and security-rule changes without a user login or JWT.
