Authenticated internal request forgery via unchecked metadata URL
Published Oct 2, 2026 · Updated Oct 2, 2026
Server-side request forgery in UTMStack before 11.2.16 allows remote authenticated users to reach internal hosts through metadata URLs. IdentityProviderService.validateMetadataUrl() reportedly sends requests to supplied URLs without restricting their hosts, IP addresses, or schemes. Access to the identity-providers API is required; the reported consequences are internal port probing and requests to cloud instance-metadata services.
