User-data disclosure via incomplete log redaction
Published May 13, 2026 · Updated May 13, 2026
Information disclosure in affected MongoDB Server releases allows remote authenticated users to place unredacted user data in local logs. Schema-validation failure logging records an update or insert that violates a collection schema without fully redacting the submitted user data. Schema validation must be enabled, a write must violate the schema, and disclosure is limited to exposed data available to users or processes that can read the server log.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.0 <7.0.34
- Affected versionversion=8.0 <8.0.23
- Affected versionversion=8.2 <8.2.9
