CVE-2026-81994

Arbitrary file read via prototype pollution

Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026

Prototype pollution in Adobe Acrobat products allows local users to read arbitrary files after a victim opens a malicious PDF. Adobe identifies improperly controlled modification of object prototype attributes, but has not published the affected parser, object path, or unsafe assignment. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted file, after which sensitive files and directories outside the intended access scope can be read.
