Code execution via out-of-bounds memory write
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Acrobat and Reader 26.002.21900 and earlier allows attackers to execute code when a malicious PDF is opened. Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser, malformed PDF structure, or incorrect memory-boundary operation that causes the write. Acrobat Pro 2024 24.001.30383 and earlier is also affected; exploitation runs code with the current user's privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
