Stored XSS via inline SVG file serving
Published May 9, 2026 · Updated May 9, 2026
Stored XSS in the SVG File Handler in JEECG JeecgBoot 3.9.0 through 3.9.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via uploaded SVG files. CommonController accepts SVG uploads, SsrfFileTypeFilter lets declaration-free SVG content pass, and WebMvcConfiguration serves it inline as image/svg+xml without authentication. An authenticated account is required to plant the file; any user who opens its public URL runs the embedded script in the application's browser origin.
