Root code execution via activatable debug mode
Published Sep 18, 2026 · Updated Sep 18, 2026
Active debug code in PLANET IGS-5225-8P2T4S V1 and V2 before 1.2412b260707 and 2.2412b260519 allows local users to gain root access. The embedded firmware retains a production debug mode that a privileged device user can activate to execute arbitrary code on the underlying operating system. Administrative device access is required, and successful use grants complete control of the switch operating system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
