Token theft via unvalidated connection account URL
Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026
Token theft in Apache Airflow Snowflake provider before 6.18.0 allows remote authenticated users to redirect Snowflake API tokens to an attacker host. The Snowflake hooks interpolate unchecked connection account and region values into request URLs, allowing URL punctuation to change the destination host while authentication headers are sent. Exploitation requires permission to edit a Snowflake connection and an existing workflow that subsequently uses it; the exposed token can be replayed against Snowflake.
