Drive transfer redirection via unescaped names
Published Sep 29, 2026 · Updated Sep 29, 2026
Query injection in Apache Airflow Google Provider before 22.6.0 lets remote authenticated users redirect Google Drive file lookups via crafted names. GoogleDriveHook inserts file and folder names into single-quoted Drive search expressions without escaping apostrophes, allowing appended query clauses to alter the selected match. Exposure requires a workflow that passes less-trusted names to the hook, such as a wildcard transfer from a writable GCS bucket; selection remains limited to Drive content accessible to the workflow's credentials.
