Authenticated command execution via unsanitized skiplist parameters
Published May 9, 2026 · Updated May 9, 2026
OS command injection in Wavlink WL-NU516U1 M16U1_V240425 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary device commands. The wifi_region handler in /cgi-bin/adm.cgi passes attacker-controlled skiplist1 and skiplist2 values into an operating-system command without neutralizing shell syntax. A valid administrative-interface session is required; successful exploitation can start a shell process with the web service's device privileges.
