Denial of service via cyclic relocation chain
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Denial of service in radare2 before 6.2.0 allows context-dependent attackers to exhaust CPU and memory via a crafted NE executable. The NE relocation parser follows an in-bounds fixup entry back to itself without cycle detection or an iteration limit, allocating another relocation object on every pass. A user must open the crafted executable, after which the parser loops indefinitely and can hang analysis through sustained resource consumption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
